But short staple cotton gets the exact same "100% cotton" label. Polyester blends feel soft in the store and feel like sleeping in a plastic bag by month three.
• How a sheet feels on day one tells you nothing about month six. Bamboo sheets are silky out of the bag and often start pilling within a season. Linen feels rough at first and lasts decades. People who buy for feel tend to rebuy constantly. People who buy for fiber and weave tend to never need to.
